MOZART IN THE MORNING PART 2 – The Piano Concerti

Performers

LLEWELLYN SANCHEZ-WERNER, host and piano
PALAVER STRINGS

Join us for the second morning of our five-part journey into the world of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, where insight and performance come together. Guided by Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner, we turn our attention to a Divertimento and a piano concerto, works that place Mozart at the center of the Classical imagination. From the youthful exuberance of the Divertimento in D Major to the profound drama of the Piano Concerto No. 24, this program traces the arc of Mozart’s genius—from sparkling clarity to emotional depth. Composed when Mozart was just sixteen, the Divertimento delights with its graceful melodies and youthful brilliance, while the C minor Concerto—one of only two in a minor key—plunges into a world of shadow and intensity, revealing the composer at his most daring. The morning’s program features Palaver Strings.

Zoot coffee and muffins are available before the concert.
