Recognized as an accomplished soloist and collaborator, Ms. Lary has cultivated a diverse repertoire consisting of Oratorio, Opera, Early, and New Music. Soloist highlights include Carmina Burana (Sanford Chorale, Arlington Belmont Chorale, Masterworks Chorale Summer Sings), Mozart’s Requiem (Jameson Singers and the South Shore Choral Arts Society), Mozart’s Solemn Vespers of Confession (South Shore Choral Arts Society, Rhode Island Civic Orchestra and Chorale), Vivaldi’s Gloria and Magnificat (Cape Cod Chorale), Poulenc’s Gloria (New England Conservatory) and Faure’s Requiem (Longy School of Music). Operatic roles have included Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (Middlebury College) and Blonde in Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio (Unadilla Theatre). A passionate advocate for new music, Miss Marcy has premiered works by living composers Peter Aldins, John Morrison, Mel Fitzhugh and David Owens. She has had the pleasure to be a member of professional choirs such as Labyrinth Choir and Capella Clausura, and early music ensembles Newton Baroque and A Joyful Noyse. As a teacher, Ms.Lary has enjoyed teaching singers of all ages, in styles such as Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Classical. Ms.Lary has a Master’s from New England Conservatory, an Undergraduate Diploma from The Longy School of Music, and a Bachelor’s from Emerson College. When she isn’t singing, Ms.Lary can be found teaching fitness classes at her local YMCA, or spending time with her husband, fellow faulty member Ben Lary, and their two cats.
