Since forming in 2019, Czech ensemble Trio Bohémo has emerged rapidly onto the international chamber music scene, winning major prizes including First Prize and the Audience Prize at the International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition, the International Parkhouse Award, and First Prize at the International Johannes Brahms Competition. Their debut recording of Smetana and Schubert was named Debut Album of the Year at the 2024 Presto Music Awards and selected as a Classical Album of the Week by The Guardian. For their Bay Chamber debut, the trio pairs Haydn’s elegant wit with Schubert’s monumental E-flat Major Trio. The program moves from Classical poise and quicksilver exchange into one of the most expansive works in the piano-trio repertoire - a journey from conversation to something almost symphonic in scale, carried by three musicians praised for their youthful vitality, precision, and deep musical concentration.
