Kimberly Rowe
Harp
Kimberly Rowe is best known among harpists as founder and web editor of Harp Column magazine, a publication read by harpists around the world. A Philadelphia native, she has performed with ensembles throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic including frequent concerts with The Philadelphia Orchestra.
As a teacher, Kimberly has given guest masterclasses at prestigious institutions including Berklee College of Music, Juilliard Pre-College program, and Temple University. She served as adjunct faculty at Temple University Boyer College of Music and founded the harp program at Temple Music Prep. Other teaching appointments include Rowan University, Curtis Summerfest, Saratoga Harp Colony, and the National Music Festival. Kimberly was co-founder of the Young Artist’s Harp Seminar summer program and served as an Artist Faculty member for over 20 years. In 2014 she was a finalist for the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra’s Ovation Award for outstanding music teacher. Her private students have attended top music schools including Curtis Institute of Music, Boston University, Peabody, Eastman, and others.
Kimberly Rowe discovered Camden in 1983 as a student of Alice Chalifoux at the renowned Salzedo Harp Colony. She continued studies with Chalifoux at the Cleveland Institute of Music where she received Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in harp performance. In 2020 Kimberly moved to Camden full time, where she continues to publish Harp Column.
