Natalie Brennecke

Violin

Natalie Brennecke is a violist who recently completed her master’s degree at The Juilliard School under the guidance of Heidi Castleman and Hsin-Yun Huang. She previously graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2024, where she studied with Jeffrey Irvine, with an exchange term at the Conservatoire de Paris. During Natalie’s time at the Julliard School, she performed in the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, including a performance at Carnegie Hall. In 2025, Natalie participated in the Hindemith International Viola Competition, and was a finalist in the Juilliard Concerto Competition. Her accolades include winning the CIM Concerto Competition and receiving the Wendel Irish Viola Award. She also was featured on NPR’s From the Top as a Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist. Natalie attended the Kneisel Hall Music Festival in 2024, the Bowdoin Music Festival as a Fellow in 2023, and the Aspen Music Festival as a Fellow in 2022. She also attended the Perlman Music Program’s Summer Music School, where she had the privilege of collaborating with notable artists, including Itzhak Perlman and various faculty members at The Juilliard School. Natalie currently performs on a viola beautifully crafted by Gabrielle Kundert.
