VUYO SOTASHE, voice CHRIS PATTISHALL, piano Guest artists to be announced ‍ ‍
South African–born vocalist Vuyo Sotashe returns following his unforgettable performances last season, bringing a voice infused with gospel traditions, jazz, and the rich musical life of his upbringing. Now based in New York, he has emerged as a compelling presence on the international stage, known for performances that combine vocal clarity, emotional depth, and a deep connection to storytelling.

He is joined by pianist Chris Pattishall, a central figure in New York’s jazz scene, whose playing is restlessly exploratory. As JazzTimes writes, “Pattishall seems to have creative energy to burn, plus a desire to push at the harmonic borders.

In this delicious café concert, the duo opens up a relaxed and responsive space, where songs unfold with a sense of freedom, and where the possibility of surprise is always close at hand. With roots that reach across continents and traditions, this is music that carries its sense of home in the voice itself—sculpted through memory, by language, and by enchanting performances.
