Chris Staknys is a pianist and composer from Falmouth, Maine. He graduated from Juilliard in 2018 with a B.M. in Piano Performance. Chris has been featured on NPR’s “From The Top” live radio show at Snow Pond Center for the Arts. As a member of contemporary ensembles such as AXIOM and the New Juilliard Ensemble, he performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall. Chris is currently a Collaborative Pianist at USM and OperaMaine, and Music Director for First Parish UU Church in Kennebunk. His teaching philosophy is for students to have fun while learning.
