PALAVER STRINGS

The much-loved, artist-led collective, Palaver Strings are known for their imaginative programming, collaborative spirit, and performances that blur the line between classical tradition and contemporary expression.

Anchored by the glowing lyricism of Josef Suk, this café concert reimagines the serenade as music meant to be shared—across time, across traditions, and among friends. Music by Carlos Simon and Ravel sits alongside a striking encounter between Laurie Anderson and Bach, creating a path that moves easily between reflection, rhythm, and moments of unexpected connection.

The familiar ease of Moonlight Serenade brings the concert to a close. Join us for an evening of serenades drifting across Hammer Hall at dusk, and the cozy warmth of songs that bring the heart home.
